I asked him lots of questions but what I know for sure is that women in the tech space need to perfect the art of story telling. You see, I am convinced that almost every woman was born with the gift of gab! That’s why we like details and some of us can talk to you 24/7 if you have time. It’s not the multitude of words that matter but the content. Ladies, use data visualization scenarios to tell a compelling story that reviews and justifies ROI for tech projects. The stories that pack the most punch are personal ones because they ring true. When you tell a story, speak in your own voice, drop the jargon and inflated language. Always use colloquial language and speak from the heart. You can’t engage your listeners when you speak what Dan Pink calls “professionalese”.
